but the winter season brings with it some great pop up events in the Capital - our favourite being the good old fashioned ice skating rinks!

There's something magical about an evening of fun spent skidding and skating around with friends and, to mark the start of winter, we have scoured the city to bring you the best ice skating rinks in London.

Hampton Court Palace

Henry VIII's  sixteenth-century pad- Hampton Court Manner, makes a picturesque backdrop for this 900 metre-square foot outdoor rink. Ice guide's can be hired to assist the less confident and skating lessons can be booked in advance. And to warm you up mulled wine is served at The Ice Bar and Cafe.
